7 Must Attend Events in February

We’ve rounded up a few must-attend events coming up in the city that definitely need to be added to your social calendar:

The SF Bay Area is home to Super Bowl 50 this year, taking place on Sunday, Feburary 7. You will find dozens of events the day of the game, as well as, the week leading up to it. Top activities include the NFL Experience at the Moscone Center and Super Bowl City at Justin Herman Plaza. See the lineup here.

Named one of the top ten Parades in the world, the Southwest Airlines Chinese New Year Parade is one of the few remaining night illuminated Parades in the country featuring gorgeous floats, elaborate costumes, ferocious lions, exploding firecrackers , and of course the newly crowned Miss Chinatown U.S.A. and her court. Over 100 units will participate in the Chinese New Year Parade on February 20. Celebrate the Year of the Monkey at the month-long festival running through February 21.

Giants fans can participate in an array of interactive games and displays on the Promenade and Club levels during the KNBR Giants FanFest on February 13, 2016. Members of the Giants team will be on hand to sign autographs, pose for photos and participate in Q&A sessions.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 13, 2016 to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Monkey at the San Francisco Symphony’s Chinese New Year celebration. This event includes a pre-concert Festival Reception which transforms the lobbies of Davies Symphony Hall with lion dancing, Chinese calligraphy, ribbon dancing, tea bars, children’s entertainment and “lucky” red envelopes.
