6 Spots to Roll into Spring

March 20th brings a fresh new season to the City and with Jasper’s easy access to SoMa and downtown, we’ve gathered 6 spots to roll into your spring adventures.

AT&T Park, 24 Willie Mays Plaza / 1.0 mile / 9 minutes by bike. You can’t usher in spring without some Giants baseball! Spring training is in full effect in Scottsdale during March and the Giants return home to take on the Oakland Athletics at ATT Park on March 30-31. See the full 2017 season schedule here. Along with the exciting games of the SF Giants, AT&T Park hosts several other popular events throughout the year.

111 Minna, 111 Minna St. / 0.6 miles / 6 minutes by bike. Join Happy Hour every M-F from 3:30-9pm for great art and drink specials. 111 Minna also features SHINE every 3rd Saturday of the month, an extensive Art Shop and revolving exhibits. Yerba Buena Gardens, 750 Howard St. / 0.8 miles / 10 minutes by bike. The new season of the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival opens in May 2017. Set amid YBG expansive forested lawn, enjoy classical, world and jazz music, contemporary and traditional dance, theater, and family oriented programs. Weekend Sessions, Lunchtime Concerts, Poetic Tuesdays and more!

ThirstyBear Organic Brewing, 661 Howard St. / 0.6 miles / 6 minutes by bike. San Francisco’s first and only certified organic craft brewery, ThirstyBear is a brewery, Spanish tapas restaurant, and tasting room all in one. Try the Flight of Beer (taste of 9 brews) + Cheese and Charcuteria board (pictured above). Also, try a Sunday Evening Flamenco Food pairings with SF Flamenco Dance Company.

Lucky Strike Bowling, 200 King St. / 1.1 miles / 10 minutes by bike. Lucky Strike offers a smorgasbord of activity for you and your crew with some bites, booze and bowling. Order Street Tacos and catch a game on their giant projection screens, enjoy shareable appetizers and ice-cold, hand crafted libations to make that win so much sweeter. Happy Hour specials run M-F from 4-7pm.

Ferry Building Marketplace, One Ferry Building / 0.9 miles / 7 minutes by bike. Experience the world-class Ferry Building Marketplace and indulge in a feast for the senses with a plethora of merchants. Take these tips for the Ultimate Foodie Tour. You can also savor the best of the season at CUESA’s Spring Cocktails of the Farmers Market on April 19th.

Along with the delightful bites and shopping at the Ferry Building, the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is a huge hit with nearly 40,000 weekly shoppers. The market is open three days a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the smaller markets occupy the front of the building along the Embarcadero; on Saturdays, the much larger market is held both in front of the Ferry Building and on the rear plaza overlooking the Bay.
